Soul Eater will be the second series from Shonen Gangan to get a console game published by Square Enix. Fullmetal Alchemist was the first. Shonen Gangan has plenty of other properties, but it seems like Square Enix is only using them if they have an associated anime.

Soul Eater: Monotone Princess will have an original storyline, use the Wii's remote and from the single gameplay screenshot it looks like an action game. Maybe an action RPG? Square Enix makes plenty of those. Square Enix has been localizing many of their games, but considering the lack of exposure for Soul Eater, Monotone Princess may remain in Japan until the anime is broadcast internationally. The game’s release date is yet to be determined. Hopefully, Datel’s Freeloader will still work when it comes out.

Soul Eater! Another series in which I will keep a close eye for news. (I actually have known about this for a while, gamespot has had a page on their site for quite a bit now…but finally some screenshots.) Pretty quick considering the first episode just aired.

The manga isn’t much of my taste, the art is pretty weak in my opinion. Plus considering that the Fullmetal Alchemist games were not that good, I don’t expect much from this.
