Steal Princess sneaks into stores this July

boken-1-map.gifRemember Shining Force? Those were the golden days for Climax Entertainment, which hasn’t been doing much since the days of the Dreamcast. On July 31 Climax will release a game, their first since Kingdom of Paradise, and it’s for the DS owners in Japan.

The world of Steal Princess is split into six sections further divided into more than twenty areas each. Every area has a key and Anice, the eye patched wearing heroine, has to find the key, open the door and move to the next level. Gaze at the animated GIF for a look at gameplay progression. Yeah, we’re light on details. Climax Entertainment is holding information like combat and how Steal Princess uses Nintendo Wi-Fi for a later date. Could it be for level trading? If Steal Princess is an isometric puzzle game user designed levels would be a keen addition.
