I'm not sure why, but I thought of Clock Tower while reading the article. The older games were point-and-click and I thought this was in similar vain with the touch pad. CT has very different functions of solving puzzles. The last screen-shot does look very similar to the level layout of the PSX CT games, though. I'll check it out. With the exception of turned into survival horror Clock Tower 3, the Clock Tower series was more about hiding. I haven't watched those campy Jpn horror flicks or Hollywood adaptations either, but the urban legends always get me. I hope this is better than "Apathy", which I heard was filled w/ bugs and just wasn't a good game at all.. which prevented me from picking it up even at $20. Looks really scary.
