All the comments make me nostalgic about rumble in the previous PlayStations. If you are using your PlayStation 2 for backwards compatibility then I agree the wireless DualShock 3 is better than the DualShock 2. I have a pair of Logitech wireless controllers so the thought slipped my mind.

Been waiting for this to come stateside forever and just ordered mine. Despite the limited PS3 game library at the moment, I'm looking forward to playing all my unfinished PS2 games wirelessly w/ rumble. The sixaxis just felt way too light and lacking w/ no feedback compared to the Xbox 360 controller. If Sony would just get rid of the PS/PS2 region lock on the PS3 system I would be so happy (don't feel like hooking up the Jpn PS2 anymore).

I thought I didn't care about rumble originally. But when Sony annouced at TGS '07, I was over joyed and I imported one immeadiately from Play-Asia. I've been loving the DS3 since last October an I can't imagine playing games without. Yes, some games have weak rumble support. But it's better than nothing.

I'd really like for Team Ninja to patch DS3 support into Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

I agree with Darrien. I'd care less if a system utilizes rumble or not.

I really don't see the big deal with rumble....just having a shaking controller doesn't make for a better game, never missed it playing any of my PS1/2 games, Metal Gear included... In fact, my PS3 has my best scores for many of my action games, making me think that maybe the rumble was interfering with that.

Of course, this is coming from someone who developed problems in the lower fingers from vibrations, so, maybe it's just me. But still, I wish someone could give me a reason that rumble is so important...

I was personally waiting for the Dualshock 3 so I could go back with my PS3 and play the Metal Gear Collection I bought. You really can't play those games without rumble! It feels great on PS2 games, with the convenience of wireless.

I really do want rumble but paying for Sony's stubbornness is annoying, and it is way more than I want to pay. When I played through Metal Gear Solid recently the lack of rumble was pretty annoying.
