Microsoft temporarily gives away the first episode of Voltron

voltron.jpgThis could be a clever way to get people to purchase the second episode since the Voltron premiere is broken into two parts, but whatever Space Explorers Captured is free. As long as you are in North America or connecting through a proxy server you can download the beginning of Voltron in standard definition. Future episodes cost 160 Microsoft Points ($2), but many brick and motor outlets have the fifteen episode Voltron Season One tin on sale for $25.

Good thing a sharp Xbox 360 Fanboy reader discovered this. It seems like Microsoft isn’t announcing when they are releasing free video downloads over the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. I guess you could browse the top downloaded videos. Free downloads are usually in the top five.

I checked last night and couldn’t find it.

I think I was in the “New” section. Saw the other episodes, and selected “Preview” but it was so much worse than I remember I turned it off.

Where’s the CG Voltron at? That’s what I’m talkin’ about.
