Japan’s PlayStation Store relaunch also adds PlayStation archives

mdrop.jpgContent on the PlayStation Store is rolling out today for Japan. Some of the items like the Lair Dragons and Control pack are old news for us, but the PlayStation Classics are new. Three games are joining the massive library of PsOne games, but most people will probably only recognize Spyro X Sparx, better known as Spyro 2 outside of Japan. Gamers nostalgic over the name Data East may recognize Magical Drop F, which got republished by Hamster, king of Oretachi Game Center arcade ports.

 

Here are the new games. Each one costs 600 yen ($6):

 

Athena no Kateiban: Family Game

Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage

Magical Drop F: Daibouken Mo Rakujyanai

The best thing about the relaunch of the store is that it is WAY easier to browse the PSX games on the Japanese store. Now, if they would add preview movies to all the new games that are added…
