Biohazard 0 Wii edition resurrects zombies in July

Capcom plans to introduce the Japanese Wii audience who are unfamiliar with the console’s ability to play Gamecube games to “partner zapping” on July 10. As of now no differences between Biohazard 0 Wii Edition and the original Gamecube release have been revealed other than a remote friendly control scheme. Will it include light gun style aiming like Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition? Maybe. An addition like that might make the 4,190 yen ($40) price easier to swallow. That’s about the same amount of money to purchase the game and a Gamecube controller.

Capcom USA has not committed to releasing Resident Evil 0 Wii Edition in North America. They previously mentioned there are no plans, but good sales in Japan may change their mind. Until then the Freeloader is the magic key to playing Biohazard 0 with retooled controls.

dood, this is like the oldest news ever…

Spencer Says:

@TacoBeaver - really? Capcom just announced the release date for Japan today.

EvilAkito Says:

I have zero interest in buying this game since I have it on the Gamecube, but I can’t blame Capcom for porting it. It’s pretty much a main series RE game, so it wouldn’t hurt to give it some more exposure. I wouldn’t be surprised to see REmake ported next.

Of course, if they decide to port Dead-Aim and the Outbreak games onto Wii as well, I’ll be a little worried.
