Namco Bandai will finish up their WiiWare adaptation of their pocket sized ∞ Puti Puti toy on June 24 when Ouchi de ∞ Puti Puti Wii pops on Japan’s Wii Shopping channel. The game is simply explained as a virtual bubble wrap popping simulator, which has a surprisingly decent control scheme. Instead of tapping the mouse button in flash based bubble wrap popping games Ouchi de ∞ Puti Puti Wii has players mimic the popping motion by squeezing the A and B buttons together.
Ouchi de ∞ Puti Puti Wii takes place on a number of backgrounds including a setting with Namco arcade classics and seasons. In one level you get to pop moving snowmen. Now, that’s something you can’t do with plain old bubble wrap. But is Ouchi de ∞ Puti Puti Wii really worth 800 Wii Points ($8)?
