Segas Pictoimage picked up for an international release? images

Last September Sega released Pictoimage for the Nintendo DS in Japan. When I saw the game I immediately thought of Pictionary since the game has other players attempt to guess what your doodle is. Up to eight players can play Pictoimage at once with a single card.

Unlike LOL (aka Archime DS in Japan), Pictoimage has a single player mode where players try to decipher the meaning behind 300 drawn images in a database. There is also an illustration training mode where you can improve your artistic ability for future Pictoimage gatherings.

Surprisingly, Pictoimage has been rated by the OFLC in Australia, which implies Sega will release the game in Oceania. Other regions are yet to be determined, but it’s hard to imagine Sega releasing Pictoimage in only one territory. Europe is a likely candidate to get Pictoimage and it should come to North America either by Sega of America or Agetec who picked up the orphaned Touch Darts from Sega Europe.
