Izuke Gensan hammering onto PSPs in the middle of May

I mentioned Izuke Gensan: Yuuyake Daiku Monogatari before mainly because it has a wacky vibe. One minute your whacking (innocent?) construction workers with a huge hammer. Next you’re smacking drills with a huge fish. Izuke Gensan isn’t only about the perils of hard labor. You explore baseball fields brandishing a baseball bat and dive underwater too.

Irem will release Izuke Gensan in Japan on May 15. A definitive change from the vague May release window previously announced. No North American publisher has agreed to pick up Izuke Gensan at this time, but Agetec and Atlus are well connected with Irem. Perhaps, one of them will give it an English release.

We really don’t see enough classic 2D/2.5D platformers.

Looking forward to this quirky platformer too. Megaman Maverick Hunter (Rockman Irregular Hunter X) was actually what lured me into getting a PSP at the beginning, then it collected dust for a long time...

The old Hammerin Harry were good games not great but I have hope for this since they are launching an anime based on this game, first non-RPG to get an anime release to promote it.
  • @Aoshi00 - I loved Irregular Hunter X. That was a blast to play.

@Mazen - Wait... there is a Hammering Harry anime series? I'm very curious about this!
