Speaking of delays, remember the PC to PlayStation 3 translation of Tears to Tiara? Aquaplus was supposed to release Tears to Tiara: Kakan no Daichi (Wreath of the Earth) last year. Japan finally gets it on July 17. At this time no international release has been announced and there is no guarantee we will ever get one.
Unfortunately, for importers expect Tears to Tiara: Kakan no Daichi to be text heavy. The game is split into two parts, strategy RPG combat and an adventure mode. Both will require reading.
I’m not 100% certain this is actual footage of combat from the PC version since I didn’t take this video, but the battle flow in the clip looks quite different from a standard simulation RPG. The sole combat screenshot from the PlayStation 3 version above makes Tears to Tiara: Kakan no Daichi look like any ordinary strategy RPG.
I wonder if Aquaplus is revising the battle system…

@ToruHideo - Ah! Thanks for clearing that up. From what I seen it looked like Aquaplus was going a different route since the PC version appears to be very point and click style. I guess that just wouldn’t work on a PS3.
Yeah, it’s a complete 3-D remake. Looks really good. (Of cuz its the PS3 lol)

Yes, they are actually making a new battle system for the PS3 remake which plays more like a traditional SRPG. The new version of the game doesn’t look anything like the old one, with the new art style and all.
