Bishi Bashi Special served on European PlayStation Store

While the Wii has been privy to all kinds of imports (well, OK not for Japan) the PlayStation Store hasn’t gotten the same treatment. We haven’t seen any import games in the PsOne archives section, but you can get access to a wacky Japanese PsOne game in English with the help of a European PlayStation Network account.

Konami just released Bishi Bashi Special as a digital download, which costs 3.49 GBP ($6.80). Bishi Bashi Special is a mash up of two button slapping arcade games: Super Bishi Bashi and Hyper Bishi Bashi. Looking at the video now it will probably be called a Wario Ware clone, but Bishi Bashi predates Nintendo’s microgame collection. Now you can experience the game in English on a PlayStation 3 or PSP since Konami decided to release this game in Europe back in the late '90s instead of C: The Contra Adventure that year.

Chris Dahlberg Says:

This looks completely ridiculous.

Will we see it on US PSN any time?

Spencer Says:

@Chris - Honestly, probably not since Sony hasn’t released any PsOne imports, but this should work with a US PS3/PSP since downloadable PsOne games are region free.
