WiiWare microtransactions resonably priced for Mojipittan

The least talked about game out of the Japanese release schedule has been Mojipittan Wii. Since it’s like a Japanese version of scrabble it’s understandable why Mojipittan hasn’t been sitting in the spotlight. However, it does have microtransactions and it doesn’t take an Idolm@ster to know Namco Bandai loves selling extra content.

The first piece of pay to play content for Mojipittan Wii is a 30 stage puzzle pack for 200 Wii Points ($2). That breaks down to 6 and 2/3 cents per puzzle, which when put that way doesn’t sound bad at all. If you’re playing the Japanese version and you probably aren’t it is ready to download now.

I’m interested in this if I own a Jpn Wii one day, the little dictionary below the word is fun. Does this have Wi-Fi for you to play against Jpn players? Otherwise I wouldn’t have anyone to play w/..

Hey, StupidQman with another stupid Q for you guys. On the PS3 and 360 you can set up accounts for other locales. Can the same be done for Wii to DL “foreign only” games or is it particularly system and region specific locked?

This game looks amazingly fun, and I’d also love to play the VC games that Japan has up.

@StupidQman - Unfortunately, no. The Wii is locked to download games by the console’s region. So, you will not be able to get Japanese games with a US Wii or vice versa.

No, it’s completely locked-down.
I’m totally missing out on the console versions here, and this one sounds awesome… I’m just not prepared to throw down money getting a Japanese Wii when I could put that towards a PS3 :/
I hope the PS3 gets a version soon… ><

@Spencer - Very cool! I would get it for 1000 points if it has online play since I don’t have Japanese grandparents to play w/, lol. Of course I wold have to wait till I have a Jpn Wii first, the only thing holding me back is they don’t have a new color yet, and I would rather not apply skin or change the case myself.
