Place your face on a dancing character in Wits & Wagers

This week Wits & Wagers is the lone Xbox Live Arcade release and it’s barely making an appearance. The quiz game will only be available in North America and the U.K. There are 700 questions packaged in Wits & Wagers for 800 Microsoft Points ($10 or 1.5 cents per question) and players don’t have to answer them correctly. You can bet on a rival player answering the question right and still win. It’s an interesting twist, which is overshadowed by the custom avatar system.

In Wits & Wagers you can use the Xbox Vision camera to capture your face and stick it on one of the preset bodies. While on stage your custom avatar “dances” by spastically waving his/her arms. This video clip shows the avatars in motion and a creepy clown playing the Wits & Wagers too. My first thought was Microsoft's Mii and if Nintendo's iconic avatar system influenced the development of this game.
