Samurai Shodown V Special still included in Samurai Shodown Anthology

ssvspecial.jpgAfter Kurt swiftly pointed out in the comments that Samurai Spirits Zero Special was omitted from the games listed in the Samurai Spirits Rokuban Shoubu press release, I contacted a representative from SNK Playmore USA to see what was up. No worries, even if Japan does not get Samurai Spirits Zero, Samurai Showdown Anthology “will have V Special and VI for the first time in the US.”

Just to make things clear the US release, Samurai Shodown Anthology will have seven games: Samurai Showdown I – VI plus V Special.

The Japanese release, Samurai Spirits Rokuban Shoubu, currently has six games: Samurai Shodown I – VI.

i know this means i'll be very busy, but if there's anyone who doesn't buy this, i'll have to beat you up, take your lunch money for a few days, and use it to buy this game for you.

Don't worry I'm buying it. I guess SNK is taking a No More Heroes approach with their games. Japan gets the censored game, America gets the fully uncut game. Remember SNK announced the US version of SS Edge of Destiny/Sen will have blood and fatalities in the US version but none in the Japanese version.
