Have a heart? Try Wii Fit at the Central Park launch event

Nintendo is throwing a launch event for Wii Fit on May 19th at Merchants’ Gate in Central Park. The highlight of the event might be seeing Ashley Borden jump on the balance board, but I think Nintendo’s donation program is a better public relations stunt. The big N will donate $25,000 to the America Heart Association if 5,000 people sit through a Wii Fit demo. Each person that plays Wii Fit during the 8AM to 5PM event adds $5 to the donation total. Nintendo didn’t mention what the demo consists of, but Nintendo shouldn’t have too much of a problem getting to the $25,000 goal unless it rains.

If you’re planning to go to the event (yeah, it’s during work/school time) give WiiFit a try.
