@Dr. Slump - It's true that Mistwalker's games have generally trickled down to North America, but the credit for the first two go to Microsoft who made active deals with them. ASH is Mistwalker's first game published by Nintendo who hasn't even acknowledged its existence outside of Japan.

Why do you guys think ASH won't be localized? Mistwalker seems to be bringing over all their games, so I assume this one will be coming too.

@Mazen - You make a good point, but many of the games you mentioned ASH, Soma Bringer, Mother 3 and Hercules no Eikou: Tamashii no Shoumei are published by Nintendo. They have a history of not letting other publishers play with their properties, which is why Atlus and other companies have not tried to localize say Mother 3. Cubivore is one the very few Nintendo games I can think of that was published in Japan by Nintendo, but in North America by Atlus.

So we get every Success game in the US either bad or good (like that many of them are good), and we well never get games like Ash, Soma bringer, the upcoming Heracle RPG and the highly prised Tecmos Deadly Intent not forgetting old stuff like Mother 3, Japanese companies should know that getting many average and or precisely below average Japanese games in the US will hurt their reputation in the largest (by far)gaming market in the world.
