Star Soldier R won't be the only shoot 'em up coming to WiiWare. Ubisoft will release a WiiWare version of Protothea, a PC game developed by Sabarasa & Digital Buiders, during the US launch. We mentioned Protothea coming to WiiWare as a rumor in March and were right on the money. Protothea will use the remote/nunchuck combo to control the ship, fire eight weapons and two bombs. The ultimate power for the ship is the ability to slow down time, which is reminiscent of Cave’s Espgaluda.

Ubisoft is charging 1,000 Wii Points ($10) to fight the "Core" across four planets, ten levels and two difficulty settings. Compared to the 800 Wii Points ($8) I paid for Star Solider R, Protothea sounds like a much better deal.
