Microsoft is pushing Ninja Gaiden II with virtual goods, namely the pictured Dark Fiend costume above. This promotional item will be given out exclusively to selected countries (note: no countries have been announced) and is limited to 39,000 units on launch day. No details have been announced, but it sounds like some people will get the costume as pre-order bonus.
Don’t worry if you miss out of the Dark Fiend costume because there are plans for plenty of outfits for Ryu Hayabusa. Staring in July costume packs with new styles for Ryu will appear on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Each one costs 200 Microsoft Points ($2.50).
I wouldn’t be shocked at all to hear Microsoft announce some kind of costume related to the Halo universe in the coming weeks. I am shocked to see Ryu have time to change his clothes purely for cosmetic value during demon slaying acrobatics.
