Unreleased point and Chibi-Robo

By Spencer . May 9, 2008 . 4:05pm

Skip released Chibi-Robo on the Gamecube, but not the Chibi-Robo seen in these videos. This gameplay footage is taken from a Chibi-Robo beta where the tiny hero emerged from an orange Gamecube in an inventor’s lab.

Notice the moving cursor? In this build Chibi-Robo had point and click style controls. It looks like the goal or at least one of the goals is finding batteries scattered in the lab. Let’s see what happens next.

This version of Chibi-Robo seems like it could work well with touch screen control or maybe the Wii remote. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’re going to see Chibi-Robo appear for some time. Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol could have sold well in North America being sequestered to Wal-Mart.

Have seen these videos a while back… I wish they did a new chibi robo for the Wii.

In Canada, Chibi-Robo could be found at just about any store that sells games. Kinda makes me angry about going out of my way to get it. I though it’d be rare, allegedly being only at Wal*Mart.

^Sorry, meant to say Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol.

I concur with Chow, I bought my copy at a Canadian EB games… for 10$ new.

This was the Chibi Robo I remember seeing at E3 a while back and was the kind of Chibi Robo I was waiting for when it was said to be released. I was even questioned about the gameplay and how I liked it while I was there… guess I was a minority since they did change it *sniffles*
