Not better than the Japanese launch? As Matt (from IGN) put it: LostWinds is better than the entire Japanese launch taken together. Add Defend Your Castle to that, which looks alright, and you’ve definitely got a better launch. That being said, I was expecting ~20 titles. World Of Goo, for example.

Thank you John H. You took the words right out of my mouth. Seriously, I wasn’t impressed with the Japanese WiiWare launch and this isn’t looking any better, different for sure, but not better. That being said, I am out of room on my Wii anyways so I really couldn’t buy any even if I wanted to (which I don’t).

I won’t buy the FF game because I have an aversion to buying things that come with money-unlocked features. It’s like I’m paying them for the right to buy things.

I played the japanese Final Fantasy and it was a pretty fun addictive town simulation game, some people are dissapointed of it because they want it to be a normal Final Fantasy game.
some were surprised of how differnt it is, its like some people don’t read about a game before release.

LostWinds is must-buy. Don’t get the excitement over FF at all, the only reason it seems to be popular is because the FF name is tagged to it. I’ve only heard disappointing things, and the title seems to be marketed at, well, nobody.

Seriously disappointed by the quantity. At least 20 titles were ready for launch, it seems Nintendo is holding them back.

I think they did the right thing by launching with Final Fantasy as it will force more people to connect their Wii online and they may look at the other games. looking at these I think the japanese launch titles are better, but we well get them soon anyhow.
