A few months ago Sony Computer Entertainment Japan brought Gloria and Yukino, new characters for Minna no Golf 5, on the PlayStation Store and sold them for 500 yen ($4). Sony Computer Entertainment America is giving gamers a significant price break. Gloria and Alex (Yukino’s English name? She’s obviously using the same model) only cost 99 cents, a quarter of the cost in Japan, when they come out tomorrow. Sony Computer Entertainment America has not announced the price of the Oceania Resort Course which came out in Japan last month for 800 yen ($7.50).

This isn’t the first time Sony cut prices for the US. PlayStation Network games like Echochrome and Piyotama cost less outside of Japan too. If this trend continues PlayStation 3 owners in Japan may want to consider importing US PlayStation Network cards providing that the downloadable content is region free.
