Blue Dragon Plus set for September

bdplusa.jpgWhen AQ Interactive announced Blue Dragon Plus the game was scheduled to come out in March 2008. Feelplus and Brownie Brown, the duo behind the DS title, will complete their work on it about six months later. Blue Dragon Plus will finally come out in Japan on September 4.

Mistwalker’s DS game retains the same cast from the Xbox 360 installment with a few additions. Shu still calls upon his shadow to do damage, but the gameplay is completely different. While Blue Dragon was a traditional RPG, Blue Dragon Plus is a real time strategy game.

Meanwhile Away: Shuffle Dungeon does not have a release date despite how it was originally scheduled to come out before Blue Dragon Plus.

meaning Summer 2009 at the earliest for NA, unless they’re pulling an Odin Sphere on us…

why does Nintendo authorize their own Brownie Brown to produce this, a sequel to a game Microsoft and Mistwalker are still trying to sell is beyond me.

Letting this being published on DS, erm… sure, but taking Nintendo teams resources for this… erm…
