Read Dragon Quest IV’s Chapters of the Chosen in September

Square Enix hasn’t officially announced Dragon Quest IV, but Jr. Dragoon sent over an e-mail (thanks!) with something even more concrete than our trademark research. A NeoGAF forum user discovered the official site for Dragon Quest IV and teaser site listing Dragon Quest IV-VI(!) with their official subtitles. (Note: the official Dragon Quest site has “Zenithia” in the URL, which is a floating castle in all three games.)

As we predicted before they are:

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie

Like Japan, the Dragon Quest trilogy begins with Dragon Quest IV and it is scheduled to ship out on September 16 in the USA.

Great! September 16 is the day, I have a feeling 5 and 6 are in 2009 and they lead to 9 in fall 2009, BTW these forums detectives scare me.

Phil Says:

“Dragon Quest IV-IV,” eh? ;)

I had to poke a little fun. But seriously, I’m excited about these games like you wouldn’t believe. I played IV back when it first came out (rented it for a weekend from the local video store), and have been waiting for a chance since (that doesn’t involve emulating it).

Angelous Says:

Wow, I feel like celebrating! This is a great time to be a DS owner!

Spencer Says:

@Phil - Hahaha! It’s technically a true statement, but I corrected it to accurately represent Dragon Quest IV - VI.

Tony Says:

Man, I’m so excited. I loved Dragon Warrior IV back on my NES and I couldn’t wait for the PlayStation version of the title Enix was promising before they figured out it was impossible.

I’ll be buying this on day one.

Boycott Gamestop Says:

Oooh ooh! GIMME!

Reign1770 Says:

Dragon Quest PAWNNNNNNNZ!
