AtomDisgaea DS promoted with 417,254,769 total damage
Nippon Ichi wants to remind us that you can deal “massive damage” in Disgaea DS. The two minute promotional video shows Laharl’s party dishing out millions of HP of damage in combos. Feats like are possible, but they aren’t going to happen unless you spend lots of time with the game. (Again, for many of us!) Other than getting a look at Disgaea DS in motion there isn’t much more notable about the trailer except for the tail end…
The blue item shown is a Prinny Touch pen, the pre-order bonus Nippon Ichi is offering to consumers in Japan. We might get this as a pre-order gift when Disgaea DS comes out in North America in August. If not I imagine leftovers will appear on Rosenqueen in some kind of mega Disgaea DS bundle pack.
While the trailer is mostly spliced clips of gameplay it doesn’t answer a question I’ve been wondering about, just how much voice acting is in Disgaea DS? The voice actors listed in the trailer are doing something, it just isn't clear what it is.

I think I heard something bleeped out somewhere in the trailer….
The laughing in the trailer felt strange at moments.

I’m guessing that the soundbytes for the battles will stay. Although ever since Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side, I’ve kept an open mind for full on low-bitrate voicetracks.
This finally means that Frontier SaGa 2’s Famiwave crown for most damages dealt in one attack has been broken. (And in singular attack too, were as that record was set with a combo…)
