Beethoven’s 5th Symphony used to promote Shiren

Sega is adding a touch of class to their Mystery Dungeon Shiren the Wanderer 3: The Sleeping Princess in the Clockwork Palace commercial. The short advertisement has Shiren smacked, slashed and bonked on the head by rocks on beat to the opening notes of Symphony No. 5. Take a look in the video below.

Quite a change from the “hardcore” image Sega gave Shiren in the USA.

  • Nice. I wish someone would use Pathétique in C minor (Op. 13, 2nd movement - Adagio cantabile) for a game commercial.

Pretty cool editing. Look how frustrated the guy is and still keeps on trying. I've just started playing this rogue-like genre for the very first time ever by trying Izuna, I've died some many times and am only in the 4th icy dungeon. Very fun, but always scared of dying and losing everything :(.. I got Izuna 2 as well but don't want to start it until I finished 1.. Can't say this is my type of game though, but Shiren 3 looks amazing.

BTW, did Dragon Quest's composer do the music for this game, I think I saw his name on the credit.
