Check out Avalon Code’s combat system

Avalon Code is an action RPG and with the genre comes a certain amount of 3D slashing. The first movie of Marvelous’ game demonstrates that and something new. While whacking Hobgoblins you can scan them by hitting them with a giant book. This skill rewrites the information in the book and you can align stones to turn the tide of battle by summoning a spirit. The spirit shown in the clip is Renbo, a fire elemental with two gun arms.

 

While the protagonist is shown to be a male in the movie you can choose to have a female lead character. Both of them carry larger than life books.
