Not too long ago, Spencer pointed out that Square-Enix recently trademarked Sigma Harmonics at the USPTO along with the game's logo, indicating a U.S. release of Sigma Harmonics to be plausible. Since then, nothing has officially been said of the Japanese version's release date until now.
The official Japanese site for Sigma Harmonics updated today with new information character and system info and a release date of August 21st, 2008 with a price tag of 5,490Y (roughly $52USD). The new DS title, with Yoshinori Kitase as producer, Hiroki Chiba as director, Yusaku Nakaaki as character designer, and Masashi Hamazu as the game's music composer, will be played in a book orientation style.
It won't be long before importers will be able to help Sigma fix the rewritten events of his past with the help of his friend Neon. Will you be importing, or will you wait for the inevitable U.S. release?

Can’t wait for this! I’m liking the new IPs for Square. TWEWY was brilliant!
If I had the capabilities, definite import. But since I don’t, waiting very impatiently for inevitable release stateside. >:

Didn’t realize this is to be played in book style. If it plays as good as it looks, definitely importing. I like the Taisho era outfit too, like the girl in kimino w/ the cat ear hat :)
