Wario Land Shake and Rhythm Tengkou Gold confirmed by Nintendo for July

Wario Land Shake and Rhythm Tengkou Gold confirmed by Nintendo for JulyNintendo doesn’t actively promote or announce their upcoming releases much. Information about when and what first party games come out spring out of fliers rather than months and months of previews. There are exceptions with major franchises like Mario and Zelda, but otherwise release dates pop out of thin air.

Kotaku posted a rumor circulated by internet forum NeoGAF and originally written up by a Japanese blogger with a number of new first party games from Nintendo. Supposedly, the source is Famitsu, but a number of them are already confirmed from Nintendo’s internal release calendar.

Here’s what is scheduled to come out in Japan this July:

7.10 Densetsu no Starfy Taiketsu! (DS)

7.24 Wario Land Shake (Wii)

7.31 Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (Wii)

7.31 Rhythm Tengoku Gold (DS)

Wario Land Shake? A new Starfy game? Rhythm Tengoku Gold? I loved the Game Boy Advance game (pictured) so the latter has my attention. It looks like Nintendo has plenty on their plate to replace Disaster: Day of Crisis.

Rhythm Tengoku = best game on the GBA

God I hope it’s not a remake, but a sequel (as I’ve played the original to death)

    And Starfy sounds interesting, too.

If there really is a sequel coming for Rhythm Tengoku, then count me in. I loved the GBA one, so I am looking forward to this being true.

@Maxemillian_X – It’s right on Nintendo’s release list just look for “リズム天国 ゴールド” under the date July 31 and you’ll see its very much true.

the “gold” at the end is japanese for revised edition. half-true, half-joke here. either way, don’t expect entirely new content for it. maybe we’ll see the original stuff plus an extra 30-50% of new material.

Hum, want to know more about Stafy. Considering it isn’t called “Densetsu No Stafi 5,” I am wondering if it will be a traditional Stafi game.

@Daizyujin – Stafy / Stafi / Starfy are just different ways of interpreting the katakana. They’re all the same series so this will be an extension of the series.
