Ninja Gaiden 2 demo puts the scythe in your hands

By Spencer . May 30, 2008 . 4:00am

Japan is the first and only region in the world with a downloadable Ninja Gaiden 2 demo at this time. If you have a gold Xbox Live account registered in Japan you can give Ryu’s scythe a swing. If not you have to wait a week until it’s available for silver menus, but by that time the game will already be out around the world. Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out in North America on June 3 and in Japan on June 5.

There still is a demo planned for “all other regions”, but there is no information on when we will see it. Maybe Monday, right before Ninja Gaiden arrives in stores?

Whatever happened to being able to try before you buy? I thought that was the point of demos. This just shows the stupidity of microsoft locking demos for a week to silver members.

  • @Daizyujin – I couldn’t agree more, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Ninja Gaiden 2 demo appear within this week. Compared to Japan (well, except for this case) we’re pretty fortunate with timely demos. Success didn’t release their Operation Darkness demo until months after the game came out. The same thing happened with the Blue Dragon demo.

Yeah. I think it makes me more annoyed that I have paid for Gold on my American account. I sure as heck am not going to pay for a second gold account. Though it would have made more sense for us to get it first since we get the game first. I don’t think Japan gets it until Thursday.
