Mario Super Sluggers special moves and mystery characters

Super Mario Stadium: Family Stadium (aka Mario Super Sluggers outside of Japan) is about to hit retail stores and like Nintendo’s other first party releases this summer we don’t know that much about it. Obviously Mario, Luigi, Wario, Peach, Bowser, and Donkey Kong will step up to bat, but who else will Nintendo throw into the game? The tiny screenshots above from the exhibition mode provide some clues that other screenshots haven’t divulged. It looks like Dixie Kong, a Magikoopa, Delfino residents, and Paragoombas will join Birdo, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, and Parakoopa troopers. Can you identify any other squished countenance?

Mario – Fire Shot

Peach – Heart Shot

Bowser – Blaze Shot

Luigi – Tatsumaki Shot (Tornado Shot)

Donkey Kong – Barrel Ball

Bowser Jr. – Rakugaki Ball (Graffiti Ball)
