Well, I'm hoping that they keep MG Online's servers up and running throughout 2009. Especially after their disappointing decision to pull the plug on MGS 3 Subsistence Online a bit early it seemed.

@matty - Actually, I've been playing MGS4! As Aoshi00 explains it's way more action oriented than the other games in the series. You can choose to run and gun if that's your style, but other than that it applies the core mechanic of a Metal Gear Solid game: sneaking around.

This is one of your best interviews so far. But I'll avoid anything MGS4-related until I own the game & console.

I ordered the Bande Dessinee 2 DVD too, the digital comic summarizing MGS 1 & 2 w/ full Jpn voice over. Unfortunately it's going to take a while to arrive, I should have ordered it together w/ MGS4 from NCSX, since they literally shipped it to me in one day..

I only played a little of MGS4 last night, the control is quite different than the last 3 games, there's still stealth but w/ more FPS elements, so takes a little getting used to as I'm not a great shooter (probably the reason I won't get into MGS online). Now, I stopped and went back to play Sons of Liberty to refresh my memory.

I wasn't a fan of the series until recently either, I never played the original until I downloaded it from the Jpn PSN last month, and the story blew me away, maybe I got more into it due to the Jpn voice acting. Then I went on to replay the Gamecube Twin Snakes remake and started playing Snake Eater (been sitting in my collection for a long time), the cold war setting in the 60s is awesome, and I can't believe a PS2 game from 2004 looks this good. I literally witnessed the graphics improvement btwn each of the 4 games, simply amazing. So I did quite a catch up and can't believe I skipped this series all along.

Have you played it yet, Spencer?
I never really got into the series. After playing a little bit of the first two I just put it down. It just wasn't up my alley.
