Watch how the nightmare begins. See the Knights in the Nightmare opening

By Spencer . June 18, 2008 . 12:16pm

Knights in the Nightmare doesn't have a fancy animated prelude to like Yggdra Union for the PSP. The succinct, 1.5 minute clip is comprised of sprites, very reminiscent of the previous Dept. Heaven games. The opening movie unexpectedly has English voiceovers and English* text. I like to think this is a good indicator Knight is the Nightmare is going to be localized by someone, probably Atlus. The wait may be a bit longer since Knights in the Nightmare was quietly delayed from July 17 to September 25 in Japan.

In the meantime, enjoy the trailer and try to forgive Sting for their translation.

Volcynika Says:

I expect Atlus to bring this over, because they apparently love Sting’s games enough to localize a majority of them. The game looks so crazy but so awesome at the same time.

TOLLMASTER Says:

I may be wrong about this, but doesn’t Sting typically use a lot of Engrish in their games? The English in the trailer could just be an extension of that trend–a kind of personal mark or quirk of theirs, if you will.

Reader Says:

Atlul, get on thil game…quickly! A limutaneoul releale would be great.

Keriaku Says:

So how are all these games connected?

Louise Says:

The trailer makes the game look great! I hope Atlus does bring it over. The PSP needs more SRPGs and if this is anything like Yggdra Union or even Riviera, it’s going to be great.

jarrod Says:

Louise, it’s a DS game.

Nika Says:

@reader: loll, yeah they have a pretty weird “s”.

Whorl Says:

English in Japan seems better than dubs nonetheless.

Omar Says:

I’d like a game closer to Riviera rather than Yggdra.
