Fall into Rune Factory 2

Fall into Rune Factory 2Natsume, aka North America’s Harvest Moon publisher, isn’t about to forget any game in the series, even if it’s a spin off. Last summer, Rune Factory came out with a quizzical, but fun fusion of fantasy and farming. This year Natsume will release Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon in the fall.

The war is over in Rune Factory 2, but the Kingdom of Norad only has a brief period of peace. After the demise of the Sechs Empire premonitions foretell a new calamity which Kyle, a visitor to Alvarna Village, ends up investigating. Kyle is only the first protagonist you get to control. Later in the game you take control of his child and see the world a generation later.

Hiro Maekawa, the President of Natsume, was quick to call the first game a “great success”, a good sign that Rune Factory Frontier will come out next year.

Sweet! I’ll be looking forward to this, I just hope they expanded on the battle system a bit more and remove anything that could slow down the game progress (example: having to wait till Winter to enter a story driven cave)…
