Past and present collide in Macross Ace Frontier

macross.jpgMacross Ace Frontier premiered this spring and someone has to make a game based on it. Namco Bandai gave Artdink the job. However, Macross Ace Frontier isn’t just about the VF-25. Macross Ace Frontier corrals Valkyries from Macross Plus, Macross 7, Macross Do You Remember Love?, and Super Dimension Fortress Macross in a single game. Namco Bandai is obviously targeting Macross fans with the list and they’re doing a pretty good job with it. All we need now are intertwined rhythm mini-games to represent the musical numbers often seen in the everlasting anime space opera.

Chances of seeing something that odd is slim since Macross Ace Frontier is scheduled to come out this fall in Japan. A North American release is unlikely since the Macross license is fractured into Robotech. Good thing the PSP is region free!
