@Chris Paladino – You’re right I checked it out on the Xbox Marketplace to verify. You get five costumes for 200 points, which is a better deal. The Famitsu article didn’t say how many costumes were in the pack. I’m going to update the post and correct this.

Oh yeah, I read the letters from both Itagaki (and Tecmo’s rebuttal) on Famitsu before, I was wondering what that was about, of course none of us would know the truths, the director does look kind of shady

In case they need to compensate Itagaki, I guess every bit helps, even by charging extra for costumes.

Exactly, never really liked the idea of paying for the so-called “extras” that are ready in the first place and obviously withheld for greedy gains. What happened to unlocking stuffs after you beat the game and such, look at the countless goodies hidden all over MGS4, those things make you want to replay the game multiple times w/ different approaches to unlock the easter eggs.

Like w/ Lost Odyssey, as much as I love that game, never had I regretted paying for that tacked-on extra abyss dungeon, biggest waste of money. And the extra novella and cut-scene viewing lamp, not that 200 pts is a lot, but those are things that were there but locked on the disc, and you just feel like you got major ripped off.

To clarify, there are 3 sets of 5 costumes each. You get 5 costumes for 200 pts.

Here we go again. If the fact that this content was obviously already done before release and being sold separately isn’t bad enough now we have to deal with price gouging. It is so sad that this trend of selling such obviously held back content has actually taken off. $60 for the full game and then you want to charge me almost 1/6 of that for 3 stinking costumes? The fact that this stuff will actually sell makes it kind of embarrassing to even call myself a gamer. Its the horse armor all over again. No thanks Tecmo.
