Interesting to see the Wii version getting a DS port complete with extras and a completely new Cid to boot. I was originally thinking it would be a Cid from a previous Final Fantasy (namely Final Fantasy IV), but this is also good.

Kindof annoying how all the information on the ds game appears the day after I preorder the wii oneâ€¦!

I’m definitely not annoyed. I think the timing was perfect — Square just saved me 40 bucks that I would’ve spent on the Wii version and can now save for the superior DS game.

Iâ€™ll prefer the Wii version. better graphics, home console, etc.

I don’t really care about better graphics in a dungeon crawler. The DS game seems clearly better — Cid mode, at least one extra job (they may include all five), and dungeoning on the go. No contest.

So… is this a parallel story? Or is this the same exact game plus added extras? Is there a reason to buy the Wii version (which I was very interested in prior to this announcement)?
