Patapon 2 this winter, LocoRoco 2 on the horizon

Recommended Videos

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan put up webpages for LocoRoco 2 and Patapon 2 confirming both games will get sequels. These respective predecessors to both of these projects were among the most creative games developed by Sony’s Japan studio. In the case of LocoRoco, it looks like we’re getting more of the same game. I have my doubts that a UMD with more LocoRoco levels will sell more PSPs, but it’s good to see Sony isn’t giving the franchise an early grave.  Details on Patapon 2 are sketchy, which may not even be called “Patapon 2”. The temporarily named game is scheduled to come out in Japan this winter.

LocoRoco 2 and Patapon 2 have not been announced in North America at this time, but I expect to see both games at E3 next week.
