Go! Go! Break Steady joins 1942: Joint Strike on XBLA

Go! Go! Break Steady superficially looks like a breakdancing game, but it’s actually a rhythm/puzzle game here you press buttons to a beat. Get enough timed button press right and you get to match colored faces while a breaker six steps in the background. As the tempo increases the dancer starts doing power moves like swipes, and flares. These make the buttons spiral and “dance” to the center of the screen. I found the concept novel when I played Go! Go! Break Steady a few months ago at GDC, but I think 1942: Joint Strike gets my Microsoft Points this week. It’s hard to say no to a shmup. Both games cost 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
