Ultimate news, we’re getting Milestone’s Wii shmup collection

usc.jpgLast year at E3, Nintendo’s yearly release calendar leaked Crows was coming to the Wii care of O3 Entertainment. Earlier this year, Milestone Shooting Collection came out in Japan and few people seemed to notice it missed its launch date. The trio of shoot ‘em ups included on the disc were all released for the Dreamcast, but Karous has been “enhanced” with motion control. You can waggle the remote to do a sword attack. Yeah. Radilgy / Radio Allergy and Chaos Field are untouched.

UFO Interactive hasn’t properly announced the collection yet, which will be called Ultimate Shooting Collection whenever it gets released. The box art is sitting on the publisher's front page. I’m nearly certain this is a localized version of Milestone Shooting Collection by the box art alone. Also UFO Interactive isn’t shy about advertising the game as three games in one package. As I mentioned before Milestone Shooting Collection has three games. Hmm…

  • I'm glad we're getting this, now Radilgy/Radio Allergy will finally make it out here. Stupid O3 Entertainment.

Super hot news. CRIMExTHINK, since you have the Japanese version, can you confirm that the waggle is not required for Karous' sword attacks?

Definitely nice! Will make up for the fact they canned releasing the GC port of RA when it was finished and ready to go.
  • That's great news, but I wish Datel would keep their word and replace my fucking Freeloader so I can keep playing the Japanese version. "Fortunately", Nintendo hasn't announced anything particularly interesting for the next few months so I won't have to update my Wii, at least until MadWorld comes out (I'm guessing it will require a firmware update).

It's the same game, UFO already released media and I think it's even up on amazon already.

Now if only other companies like G.Rev or Treasure would collect their Naomi/DC shooters for Wii release...
