I dont think R4 is tht bad, i mean with R4 we can play the games that ONLY release in Japan AND the game that will NEVER be released in our country. It give other people to enjoy those games that they probably will never had a chance to play.So i really support R4.

it is pretty easy to get your hands on one outside of japan aswell. especially if you consider buying one on the internet.

I understand that importing at such a price drives one poor, but personally I still think that actually having the box and cd/cartridge is much better then just a bit of data. it feels much more real. Still that doesn't take away the fact that I think that games are much to expensive, especially in europe.

as for importing, I think you neede a personal contact if you want to keep doing that, if you import through webstores it costs a lot, but if someone could simply send somthing by mail to you, it would probably cost a lot less, especially if you consider that a lot of games can be found second hand for less then 2000yen. and I've seen them as cheap as 200yen

@Aoshi00 - I saw signs, paper signs, in Akihabara where retailers were advertising R4 cards. Things may have changed, but at one time it was pretty easy to get your hands on a flash card.

So they sell these R4 cards openly in Japan too? Never used one, my friend asked me if I wanted one when she traveled to Hong Kong but she said it was discontinued or something.. I'm not too tech savvy anyway and never knew how to downgrade the PSP firmware.

Importing DS games at $50 a piece could indeed drive a man poor, I usually wait patiently in hopes of a sale.
