Raidou to star in a PS2 Devil Summoner sequel and in a SMT: Nocturne revisionRayFoxSith sent a tip (thanks!!) that Atlus has another PlayStation 2 game coming out this year in Japan and it start a familiar protagonist. Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon brings back the cast from Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army in a direct sequel. Raiou has some new tricks up his sleeve like controlling two demons in battle with the Mag Scheduling system. Atlus USA hasn’t confirmed if they will release it in North America as Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon, but importers can pick it upon October 23.

Actually, importers may want to look at the Japanese release anyways because Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon Plus comes with a soundtrack CD and Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Manaix Chronicle Edition. The extra PlayStation 2 game puts Raidou into Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne as seen in the picture to the left. This is awesome and well worth the price of 10,479 yen ($92). The game alone costs 7,329 yen ($69).

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!

I will love Atlus forever if they Bring us this Devil Summoner.

If they also localized the Nocturne Remake, I would go to Atlus HQ and do things I would normally not do

So much for working on a PS3 title huh. That sucks. Anyway what’s changed in the Remake? Hope both comes out here, although I never got to finish any of the games lol.

Wait, so this “SMT3: Nocturne Manaix Chronicle Edition” is an actual remake, or just an append disc?

It’s not a remake, it’s a special edition. Added features (mainly Radiou), like Star Ocean 3: Directors cut. The original Japanese release of Nocturne didn’t have the difficulty level of the one the rest of the world got (no fiends too I believe) so that would be updated.

Geoff, I think you explained it better. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Manaix Chronicle Edition is an extended edition of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Manaix which was an extended edition of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.

So in Nocturne Manaix Chronicle Edition, does Raidou replace the main character, or is he just an added character?

@Zach-M – The scans just say he is playable. So I don’t know if he replaces the main character, but its feasible since Raidou can summon demons.
