Atlus sent out an e-mail to everyone on their Atlus Faithful mailing list with a tease of their next announcement. The clue is a blurry screenshot and a word jumble. I think the top word could be “Eternal”, but there aren’t any recent Japanese games that start with Eternal. Did Atlus rename their next game? I can’t get any clue from the screenshot, but if you have an idea we’re open for guesses in the comments.

If you opened the jpg with notepad you will find the word Poison Pink, also in Atlus forum they say the picture is taken from http://misc.insomnia.ac/screenshots/poisonpink_3.jpg
Yes, Sony is now in control of Atlus’s publishing department.
Most people (especially on the Atlus forums) seem to believe the game is Poison Pink (or, in the case of what the Atlus email sent to you, Eternal Poison), that SRPG from Flight Plan. I don’t know what eternal has to do with the game, though, but that’ll do I guess.
I hope it isn’t poison pink. It has nice art, but the actual ingame graphics are horrible (1st gen ps2 graphics), long load times, and combat is just a mess. It’s just a bad game….a really really bad game.
check out the youtube videos of the game in play. It’s just horrible.
Hell yes.
I’ve been hoping for a decent non-NIS srpg for a while.
There’s a good chance I’ll get this, but it really depends on when it’s released, in relation to P4 and the inevitable King Abbadon.
If they can somehow sort out the in-battle load times or give the option to turn off the cinematic attacks it’ll probably pre-order it.
Eternal Ghosts?
You can turn off the battle scenes in the Japanese version.
Come on atlus i want more srpgs for my 360 (zoids and operation darkness(wich is good) dosen’t count
IT’S OFFICIAL:
The game is Posion Pink, renamed Eternal Poison

Someone at NeoGaf figured out what the game is going to be. Unless, the name used in the word jumble was just for promotional sake, it’s a renamed version of recent JRPG.
I still can’t believe how many projects Atlus USA has worked on this past year…pretty crazy. Hopefully, they’re not overextending themselves.
Now, it’s just the wait for the announcemnet of the new Devil Summoner title. I think there is a slim chance it’ll come out since it would have to be around Spring 09…and who knows what life the PS2 has then. But, I think this is all part of Sony’s plan to rake in the money with people buying PS2s to play all these RPGs until they can make money on the PS3.
