Fate/Unlimited Codes has a “chance” of being localized

Capcom has tightly associated itself with the Fate/Stay franchise in Japan with two cutesy looking PSP games and Fate/Unlimited Codes in the arcades. On December 18th Fate/Unlimited Codes comes home on the PlayStation 2. Geneon has the rights to Fate/Stay Night in the USA, but I didn’t think the series was popular enough for Capcom to even consider publishing the game internationally. A release is far from confirmed, but there is a sliver of hope in a statement said by Christian Svensson, Vice President of Strategic Planning & Business at Capcom. On the Capcom Forums Svensson said, “It has a chance of coming but no announcements have been made yet.”

That response is sounds a lot more positive than a straight out “no” or admitting to passing on the game twice. The 2.5D fighting game has a sharp style that may be marketable to fighting game fans regardless of their exposure to Type-Moon’s franchise. If you are a Type-Moon fan let you voice be heard and tell Capcom you want Fate/Unlimited Codes.

Would be cool if It happened.

Funimation has the rights to Fate/stay night now with the agreement made between Geneon and Funi.

FSN could be popular in the US if It had the right advertisement. With It in funimations hands It could get just that.

Geneon was always bad about advertising their anime, which is why they fell apart.

If the game keeps its original voices, music, etc…I´m interested. But if it doesn´t…I´ll have to go for the japanese version anyway.

I'd love to see that… I have the original SP box and I think they should remake it for a North American Release. Me and my friends play it often enough that we'd like to see a localization. Just make sure there will be an optional Japanese Language mode…. PLEASE.
