Atlus gets into the character goods biz with plushies and Persona 4 towels

atlus1.jpgNippon Ichi is huge into selling character goods especially with the Disgaea series. Stuffed prinnies, plastic prinnies, and prinny hats can be found at any anime conference. Atlus Japan is just getting their feet wet selling character goods so you won’t see any hats of this, but you can get a Jack Frost plushy for 3,150 yen ($28). The Atlus”D”Shop also has other items like Etrian Odyssey figures, soundtrack CDs, and a lot of “sports towels”. Right now the items only ship in Japan. If you really want an Odin Sphere towel you’ll have to find someone who lives there to ship it to you. I can see Altus selling some of these items on Rosenqueen in the future. In fact some of the Persona 3 figures are there. The towels may be out of season though.

But seriously, what’s up with all of the character towels this summer? Cospa has Ar Tonelico II towels too with the Reyvateils wearing towels.

I’d do anything for that Jack Frost plushie. Come on Atlus, bring them over here. T_T

  • Volcynika

Oh wow, I want that Jack Frost so badly.

  • Simon

I really want the Odin Sphere towel.

  • Jenni

I too love the Odin Sphere towel. It looks kind of majestic – I doubt I could ever use it as an actual towel though. I’d probably just display it somewhere if I got one.

I got screwed over for the Persona 3 figures. I had them pre-ordered at Rosenqueen a long time ago, and recently got notification that they weren’t going to get any at all because of the distributor.

I know AtlusUSA closed it’s shop and partnered up with Amazon, but do they really have a handle at Rosenqueen?
They sell games and figures there, but I never have thought it was by way of Atlus. If they do I can see them selling the more exclusive items like Jack Frost.
Then again, I *am* Jack Frost. I got the fangs, bell-shoes and everything,

  • I’m really hoping that I start seeing these at various anime cons in the near future. Too bad that I didn’t hear about this until just after Otakon was over.
