You've also got the case where someone "drops" from a race (not on purpose)and magically appears right in front of you the next moment. Personally, it's ok. I'd rather pay the extra (I did!) to ocassionally play online, have access to the downloadable content instead of getting bored of single player. Once you finish all you have left is Time Attack (and avatar items if you like). Not even a split screen option, something that should be standard in every racing game.
