Grab your balance board for Kororinpa 2

By Spencer . August 20, 2008 . 7:14am

Hudson is working on a sequel to Kororinpa, tentatively named Kororinpa 2, and it supports the Wii Balance Board. Ten stages are specially designed where weight shifting moves the ball. Over 100 other levels where players help an ant named Anthony search for the Golden Sunflower Seed stick with the Wii Remote’s tilt control only. Once you’re done beating those levels you can make your own with a built in level editor and share them online through Wii Connect24. Hmm… I wonder if players can make their own balance board controlled levels with the editor. It seems like a waste to include the Wii Balance Board controls just for ten levels.

Konami will publish Kororinpa 2 in Europe in the first quarter of 2009. While Hudson USA has not announced this yet we’re sure to get it around the same time. Check out the first pig marble-less gallery of screenshots below.

  • They should make a Balance Board-enabled revival of Camel Try.

List of Wii games to look forward steadily grows.
Good to read this underdog series getting a second chance in form of a sequel.

Nice. I liked the first one. This looks improved in graphics and has lot of new features like some kind of story mode + editor + level sharing + Mii integration.

I hope this version supports widescreen mode.
