Space Invaders Get Even heads to Japan next week, Europe in October

Nintendo is throwing Space Invaders Get Even and Alien Crush Returns on the WiiWare Shopping Channel next Tuesday, August 26. The base pack turns the tables and puts you in control of the Space Invaders for 500 Wii Points ($5). The extra stage pack costs an additional 500 Wii Points ($5). Square Enix officially announced they will publish Space Invaders Get Even in Europe sometime in October which leaves North America as the only region where Space Invaders Get Even isn’t announced. It’s obviously going to be released, but we just don’t know when. Alien Crush Returns falls into the same category since it’s been rated in other regions already.

Unlike other regions, Nintendo of Japan haphazardly releases Wii Ware games in sporadic bursts. This can’t be good news for either title since Space Invaders Get Even and Alien Crush Returns will be in direct competition with each other. Which game would you choose to purchase?

  • Space Invaders Get Even! I’m a bit biased after having played TONS of Space Invaders Extreme lately, though.

Well neither since Nintendo refuses to allow demos. Seriously I have played nearly every WiiWare game and have yet to find one worth the cash. Sometimes you benefit from your friends making stupid choices.

(OK I admit I liked Wild West Guns a little, but $10?)
