Sony didn’t announce pricing for any titles except for X’amd Lost Memories which costs 300 yen ($2.75) for a SD download and 400 yen ($3.60) in HD. The cost per download is likely to vary since some of the items on the list are movies while others are episodes.

oh wow. but only one of these is HD? any other programming besides Anime?

@TT – X’amd is internally developed between Bones and Sony so they probably designed it to be HD from the very beginning. The other anime series only have SD options.

Sony’s store already has other stuff like movies in other regions. This press release was only about anime though so any announcements about the Playstation Store being an international movie hub will have to wait until another day.

I most likely wouldn’t be downloading these to stuff my PS3′s hard drive, especially in HD (one ep easily being over 1 Gb).

Are the above for rent or for purchase, because Xam’d on the PSN is only rental. Maybe it’s a new show, but if the rest are rentals at that price, it’s not worth it at all.
