Square Enix has done alright by Taito, and I expect the same from them should Tecmo be aquired too. Hopefully they can oust the problematic management and lure back Itagaki in the process.

On the other hand… I still mourn Quest.

Wow… I donÂ´t know what to think of this… IÂ´ve always liked both companies (or 3 ?) and I guess this is better than Tecmo going bankrupt (worst case scenario), but I donÂ´t want to lose them as developers for their games.

Maybe this could turn out for the best though, with S-E providing the financial support that Tecmo developers need and keeping them as an internal developer for their games (much like Taito is now, I think). They could even get Itagaki back to work for them.

And no, this wouldnÂ´t affect the exclusivity of Fatal Frame IV…and I donÂ´t think it would affect Ninja Gaiden II either. Although other titles such as Rygar or other projects and recently released games could be affected…

I’d like to see a Squenix version of Tecmo’s Deception series, particularly a remake of Kagero: Deception II. It’s one of the most mistreated and underrated gaming franchises ever.

This would be interesting if it happened.

Seeing Squarenix’s take on Dead or Alive alone would be worth it. Either that or something even more horrifying than FFX-2.
